Eugene is a proud founding partner in the law firm of Khalifeh & Strupinsky, P.C., in 2024. He advises clients on intellectual property matters, such as copyright and trademark protection,entertainment law, and licensing, as well as works with businesses on compliance issues, healthcare laws, and transactional matters. He particularly enjoys taking on copyright trolls.
His previous experience includes private practice as an associate at the law firm of Powley & Gibson, P.C. He is also very proud of his early work as a public defender for Criminal DefensePractice of The Legal Aid Society in New York City and as a Court Attorney for the Hon. Robert M. Mandelbaum.
Eugene received his J.D. in 2004 from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, and his B.S. in Zoology and International Relations from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 2000,after attending public schools in Wisconsin.
Eugene was born in Dnipro, Ukraine, and came with his family to the United States as a refugee from the former Soviet Union, just prior to its collapse. A naturalized citizen since 1996,he’s now able to speak Russian and Ukrainian with clients, and enjoys being a part of this vibrant immigrant community.
A resident of Brooklyn and a parent, Eugene likes to travel, forest bathe, swim, read, explore the diversity of New York City, and see Broadway shows with his kids. He volunteers on the board of an education nonprofit in NYC, providing STEAM programing to public-schoolstudents, Vision Ed. Inc.
